Our Mission is to minimize the stress of moving on our customers and the Earth. Even with this mission integrated into my daily work, I was given a stern reminder of the overbearing stress when I packed up my life and moved homes last week. Therefore, we have assembled a list of the top 20 easy ways to combat some of the hair tugging, heart racing, head throbbing anxiety that often accompanies a move.

1. Go to a yoga class – Look for a hatha or restorative class
2. Breathe deeply
3. Get More Magnesium – One of the most important minerals for your stress response system. Best way to get it? Take a relaxing Epsom salt bath
4. Have a cup of chamomile tea – In addition to containing many minerals a nutritional properties, chamomile is a natural anti inflammatory
5. Go for a run – Endorphins are the best medicine!
6. Donate something to goodwill –Reduced clutter and a sense of self-satisfaction ease the heart and mind
7. Get a neck massage – In times of high stress we contract our trapezoids which cause tension from the shoulder, up through the neck, to the back of your head
8. Get caught up on sleep – Turn off your phone, shut the blinds, have a nap
9. Scrap the caffeine – Although we all love our coffee, caffeine stimulants decrease your ability to cope. Caffeine is also a diarrheic which cause an increased frequency in urination, which will drain you of minerals
