FrogBox Victoria spent this past Sunday at The Pink Salmon Festival! We were one of the sponsors of this great event and we were also able to participate in taking a kid fishing for the day on our boat! The Greater Victoria Pink Salmon Festival takes over 100 children fishing during the biennial pink salmon run. We were one of many skippers who volunteered to spend the day introducing kids to sport fishing at it’s finest. This community event is the dream of a group of people in our community committed to sharing the fun of going fishing with kids who would not normally have the opportunity.
We took out Mikela and her Mom and had a great time watching her reel in her first fish. After over an hour without a bite I think we were all as excited as she was when she brought that fish in! This is a fantastic event and we look forward to participating in it again for many years to come!
