EMBRACING BIODIESEL We are pleased to share with you another story about a business or organization that has embraced biodiesel. FROGBOX is on a mission to make moving less stressful on it’s customers and on the planet. They provide a convenient, affordable and eco-friendly alternative to cardboard moving boxes.

FROGBOXES are re-usable plastic moving boxes that are re-used up to 400 times. Similar cardboard boxes are used on average twice. They do everything they can to minimize their carbon footprint while providing this service. Founder Doug Burgoyne says “biodiesel is a cornerstone of our environmental commitment. From day one we have run all or our trucks in Seattle and Vancouver on biodiesel. Currently we run anywhere from B20 to B50 but are starting to experiment with higher concentrations.”

Their service includes dropping off the boxes at customers current homes and then picking them up, empty at customers new homes. The customer is responsible for packing and moving their goods although FROGBOX has a network of partners that will pack and move customers stuff. “We do what we can to promote the use of biodiesel in the community including using ‘powered by biodiesel’ stickers on our fleet.” Burgoyne says. We are planning our expansion across North America and one of the first tasks in a new city is to find a local biodiesel partner.
